A Wildly Wonderful Styled Wedding Shoot at Wild Wood Wedding & Event Center

“I can't believe it, you're a dream comin' true.
I can't believe how I have fallen for you.

And I was not looking, was content to remain.
And it's ironic to be back in the game.

You are the one who's led me to the sun.
How could I know that I was lost without you

And I want to tell you, you control my rain
And you should know that you are life in my veins.”- Fallen by Lauren Wood

One of my favorite type sessions as a photographer are the styled shoots. Why you might ask? Because your vendors come out in spades with all the wonderful bling and things. Everything is controlled, very few surprises. This shoot had all those elements, but surprises were definitely the name of the game. Wild Woods Wedding & Event Center hosted the shoot set up by Megan Barbasz Photography. I have never worked with Megan before, but she is super creative and put together many ideas for all sorts of shoots that would challenge and delight a photographer. The long black wedding dress from Frocks and Fashion LLC, was just the thing for my edgy bride, it fit her well and she glowed throughout the day. Her groom was also decked out in quite the attire, changing it from something traditional to something wonderfully cool. Her hair was coifed and styled wonderfully and the makeup was on point all thanks to the stylists’ Dee Sauzo and Alana Webb from Beauty Studio 214. The bouquet, can we talk about this bouquet!! Ponca City has talent! Anytime Flowers are artists with their creations, I was in love!! the ring from Sprays Gifts was out of control! It glimmered no matter where we went, even the cake by Yundts Cottage Bakery had an edginess which worked. Top that with a motorcycle send-off, and I am done! A big thanks to the vendors for giving me so much to work with! I had so much fun!! Make sure to keep these vendors in mind if you have a something special coming up in the future!

3 Shades Of Pink, A Tiny Chapel And You Will Fall In Love With This Sweet Simple Wedding

It’s been a while since I last posted on my blog. All I can tell you is life’s been happening all the while in between the posts. I am now completely able to focus on my photography and what better way to kick things off than a sweet little wedding! This wedding had a back home feel, even though it was set in the beautiful Rose Briar Place Wedding Venue. It was quaint place, with a Spanish type vibe to it. Heavy wooden doors, glossy wooden floors, and stained glass set the tone.

This place is a perfect location for a small wedding because they have taken advantage of every space making it picture-worthy. Not only that, but they also make the wedding easy to photograph. The staff was efficient and the wedding ran effortlessly. Their catchphrase is “you bring the dress, we will handle the rest” They aren’t kidding.. When you have a small wedding with little time a venue like this takes the stress out of the big day. A little backstory on our bride and groom. Ethan and Malea met in high school. They have been dating since they were 13. After graduation, a promise of marriage soon followed. They have been planning all year for this big day, and then…COVID. The wedding planning was halted for a brief time, but then picked up full steam. The bride’s sister and mother helped Malea plan everything to perfection with Molly the wedding coordinator from Rose briar. They had eight bridesmaids adorned in flowy gowns in colors of pale pinks, peachy pinks and for the maid of honor a purple-pink. The groomsmen stood stoic clad in gray suits and pale pink florals. The showstopper of the day aside from the Bride was great-grandma NeNe as their flower girl. She came down the aisle with a tiny white basket, gave everyone petals before the bride walked into the room. The groom teared up when the bride and entered, and the bride beamed and was shy as she made her way with her father to meet him. A teacher of theirs, Mr. Young officiated the wedding, and did a fantastic job. He gave wisdom, humor and reverence to the event. As the bride stood on that stage her groom smiled at her in a way that would make everyone wish they were that bride.( He did that all night long). It was beautiful to see. The rest of the evening was just laid back fun. a buffet of finger foods, gorgeous naked cake, a tiny photo booth and great music played on for the rest of the evening.

My take-aways from this wedding are as follows. Wedding venues like Rose Briar Place can be real time savers if you are doing a small wedding. They do all the setup, clean up along with security and running of the wedding and all you do is enjoy the big day. Secondly, make your wedding about you. There are no rules when it comes to what you love, except your budget. Make it for you to actually enjoy. As a photographer, I want you to sit down with your new spouse, and eat something, savor the cake, enjoy your friends. I wish many happy blessings to Ethan and Malea Parsons #youaremyparsons. As they finish their schooling and build their life, I hope that they will never lose that love that brought them together today. I hope the sermon the officiant gave will stay close to their hearts. I hope the verses her sister and maid of honor Sicily gave them will bind them together in what love really is. I hope the desires of success from the bride’s father stick with them when things get tough. I hope the laughter the best man and brother of the groom Kade brought will show them it’s good to sometimes just laugh. Another wedding to come, and it’s just as wonderful as you can imagine with the cutest couple ever but for today Jessica Stone Photography wishes the Parsons a wonderful life together.

A Bohemian Chic Desert Wedding

This wedding was adorned with a Teepee and lace.

In a backyard, little pots held each succulent in place.

Farm tables with golden chairs, a tiny wedding cake,

and feathers delicately placed with purpose and favor over desert cookies and cupcakes.

Sage, peach, and creme colors created the theme.

Flower-filled crannies and a glow of sunbeams

a tearful vow exchange and prayers of thanksgiving.

Waffles and Greek cuisine.Kids and simple things.

High heat did not stop them, as they were proffered wedding blessings.

Hopes, dreams, and wishes. A lavender farewell. With Bohemian touches, no veil as well.

A  picture set in a frame made of mountain, cactus, sky-

The couple posed lovingly and bade us goodbye.

The pictures will show chic twists on old love that will continue to bloom

always and forever between the bride and the groom. -  by Jessica Stone and Erian Stone

This wedding is one for the books. There were details galore and in them, so many cute touches that made this a photographer's dream wedding shoot. How could you not fall in love with the tiny little cake? It was made by The Sweet Tooth Fairy along with the mini desert succulent cupcakes and cactus cookies. They did an amazing job! The lace teepee from Top Notch Rentals was placed under a tent provided by Scottsdale Stretch Tents. The inside was draped with beautiful florals that simultaneously seemed natural and magical! how could we forget the wedding bouquet? Zuzu's Petals did such an exquisite job of bringing all the flowers up to par with the rest of the wedding details. The Superstition Mountains were an amazing backdrop for the bride and groom session during our wrap up. This wedding was one of the prettiest I have seen! The details, the love, and the people made it a wonderful event to be a part of.

"Say you'll remember me"...|Meet the Stiebs | A simply sweet wedding with handmade touches

{Say you'll remember meStanding in a nice dress, Staring at the sunset, babe Red lips and rosy cheeks Say you'll see me again Even if it's just in your Wildest dreams,}- Taylor Swift - Wildest Dreams

A magical Sunday afternoon in Medicine Park, Oklahoma at The Music Hall was the backdrop for Ashley and Kevin's "Simply Sweet" wedding. The sun broke thru the skies on a slightly overcast day making them appear to glow during this outside portrait session. Ashley's colors for the wedding were various shades of purple and gray. Each bridesmaid wore a different dress that fit them to a "T". The groomsmen kept it casual with assorted purple ties, white shirts, and gray slacks. Ashley has been planning this wedding for months. From the ring box her grandfather made, homemade boutonnieres, and bridesmaids florals to the garter that she would wear down the aisle. No detail was left out. A Wedding box Event Planners helped make Ashely's vision complete with tables draped in purple and white silk scarves, shimmering with floating candles, and a decoratively submerged lily. The Plantation Inn Restaurant catered the wedding meal and after the vows were said, photos were taken to capture this wonderful moment, with the reception shortly after. The DJ played sweet tunes until the last candle was blown out. This couple had the sweetest family and friends, no matter what little bump happened that day, they plowed forward like champs. These two have to be the cutest couple ever and I wish them all the best as they take the next steps of life together. Congratulations to the newly-wedded Stiebs!

A Perfect Wedding for a Vintage Bride | Oklahoma Wedding Photographer

"Now that the weight has liftedLove has surely shifted my way Marry me Today and every day Marry me If I ever get the nerve to say Hello...Say you will" - Train

On a beautiful day in December,  in the quaint and historic chapel of Old Trinity of Paseo Church , Hailey (a lover of all things cute and vintage) and Vincent (formally known as Luke by his family and a lover of everything involving books and maps), came together to become Man and Wife. A vintage dress and specialty hand made veil by Marina Marsili Veils gave the bride a ethereal look.  Stacy, Hailey's mom, along with friends and family gathered  many an antique to give the wedding a very a historic feel.   From old typewriters, to suitcases, books, and broaches this wedding gave a nod to the past as well as embracing their future. The ladies of Simply Sisters took all the families items and created a beautiful backdrop for this bride and groom to say their vows.  The bridesmaids were attired in soft coral chiffon gowns with a simple strand of pearls and baby's breath bouquets. They stood proudly alongside their groomsmen counterparts who all were likewise well attired in sleek, black tuxes with coral orange vests and bow ties. The reception was kicked off with a flower petal faux-exit so that all their guests who were leaving early could be a part of their goodbye.  The families brought their favorite signature desserts and a hot cocoa bar was offered  to warm up any chilly guests.  The showstopper of the day was the creation by Amy's Cakes .Wrapped in white fondant, edible book pages, and flowers this cake was perfectly vintage and ready to be admired.  Amy's Cakes really out-did themselves with all the detail.  This wedding start to finish was all about traditions, family, comfort desserts, and beauty.  It was a privilege to be a part of this wedding and share in the memories that really will last a life time.
